Orissa Orphanage Project You Can Make a Difference During the last 6 months we all were witnessing what was happening in Orissa, one of the states of India. Christians living in this state faced severest persecutions from religious fanatics. Thousands and thousands of Christians had to flee and still are hiding in the forests. Their houses were looted and destroyed. "Saffron ribbons" brigades are patrolling their villages ready to kill anybody who would dare to make any attempt to come back home. Thousands of our brothers and sisters paid the price of their lives for following Christ to the end. Those who gave up their faith were forcefully converted to Hinduism and had to go through the initiation ritual which includes eating cow dung and drinking cow urine. Otherwise fanatics would kill members of their families one by one right before their eyes. Persecuted Areas from Where We Took Our Children

| Sponsor a Child Making a Difference - One Child at a Time As this terrifying picture of sorrow and desperation sank in it became vividly clear what our orphanage children had been through. They didn't just lose their parents; they saw how their parents were killed and their mothers and sisters raped. They had to run for their lives while their parents ran holding their hands with ruthless raging crowd chasing them. They had to hide in jungles, full of snakes, malarial mosquitoes and wild animals. During many days they didn't eat properly or had nothing to eat at all. Our Children
